The Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB) has sent criminal proceeding materials to the Prosecutor’s General Office about the possible criminal violations of the judge, cardiologist - doctor and civilian.
On the basis of the gained evidence, investigator of the KNAB believes that judge, with intermediary’s support, received disability lists, which intentionally contained false information about the judge's temporary disability to work. These disability lists in greedy intentions judge used for illegal getting of financial funds from the Court Administration and from the State Social Insurance Agency in the form of the sickness benefit.
In September of 2014, during the investigation within the criminal proceeding, started by the Attorney General, was find out, that for description of the disability lists, doctor demanded unlawful benefit – 150 EUR. It was intended to transfer demanded benefit, using an intermediary.
Investigator of the KNAB, asks to initiate criminal prosecution against the mentioned judge about the property fraud, using false documents in greedy intentions, and against the doctor – cardiologist for the attempt to take benefit for supporting a fraud, and for the falsification of documents, while against the intermediary - on participation in the fraud and for involvement in the falsification of documents.
KNAB states that no one person is considered as guilty until his guilt of a criminal offence is proved in accordance with the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Law.
