On 22nd July Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau called for the Anti-Corruption Policy Foreign Advisory Panel (FAP) meeting. This was second FAP meeting held in 2004.
Brief overview of directions of activities for the Bureau in the future was presented by Mr. Loskutovs, Director of the Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau. Officials of the Bureau presented latest achievements of the Bureau in the area of investigation of corruptive offences, control of regulations of political parties financing as well as on detected violations of public officials.
Chairmen of Public Consultative Council of the Bureau, Mr. Valts Kalnins gave a brief summary on ideas and issues discussed at the meetings of the Public Consultative Council. Public Consultative Council of the Bureau was created in order to ensure the necessary linkage with the society and promote the public confidence in the Bureau's objectives.
